Nasri deal confirmed by Marseilles

June 20, 2008

Marseilles President Pape Diouf has confirmed that Arsenal and Marseilles have reached a deal over Nasri and that the player is completing a medical with the Gunners.

“There is an agreement between Arsenal and Marseille but Nasri is not officially an Arsenal player, he must first complete the medical.”

This is the first official news we have heard out of either club, so surely as soon as Nasri passes the medical he will announced as an Arsenal player.

Who is happy?

i think we should go after someone like Torsten Frings, hes very similar to Flamini in that he works his ass off and has great technical ability, that would be a like for like replacement, but Wenger is unlikely to opt for such. possibly though someone like Marcos Senna from villareal or Ruben de la Red whom we have already been linked with from getafe.

The attacking centre half. He has to be tall, hard as nails, fast, skillful, aggresive and hungry can turn a counter attack into an advantage and as mean as a junk yard dog.

Now where do we find such a player?

Easy…..Adeybayor……shoot me if you will but I`m an old guy and I`ve seen it work before.

I tell you what – Nasri is not better than Hleb soo lets not get too excited b’coa we may lose Hleb. Right now he aint even better than Reyes. He’s got some ways to go

If we get him, fantastic! Hleb isn’t gone yet and even if he does there’s Vela already. Also a Rossicky fit would be almost like a new signing.
As far as a defensive midfielder is concerned, I’m starting to think we wont get one.
I’m starting to believe it may come from within the team. Maybe Diaby or Song?
I can’t believe Le Boss’s long term plan for Diaby is on the left.
    In Arsene we trust!

Thats awesome. It would mean he’s our 2nd signing. I would also love to see a player like Podolski come to Arsenal for about 17 million.

Jack, you’re right. Adebayor is the right answer. The boy’s only 23 and he’s going to get better. In another two years he’ll be as good as Drogba if not better.
